Huntingdon
Take a walk around Huntingdon - guided or self-guided - to really take in the sites and see some of what else the town has to offer. Go on a market day (Wednesday or Saturday - or fortnightly on a Friday for a farmers' market), and make the most of your shopping time in the town.
In the centre of town, you'll find the Cromwell Museum which has the foremost collection of Cromwell related material in the world. Born in Huntingdon, Oliver Cromwell, ‘Lord Protector of the Commonwealth' from 1653 until his death in 1658, once had his headquarters in the town.
Events in the area include a Mascots Grand National Day at Huntingdon Racecourse or you could enjoy Shakespeare at The George.
